Hispanic American Diversity Jeri Wall ETH/125 10/3/2010 Dr. Heather K. Caldwell The coupled States is the most diverse country when talking in basis of culture, pietism, voice communication, and political emplacement. According the United States Census Bureau (2009) 15.8% of Americans determine to be Hispanic. The Hispanic community represents many nationalities including Mexican Americans, Cubans, Puerto Ricans, and Brazilian Americans. Spanish has been the principle speech of the Mexican Americans. many Mexican Americans argon bilingual speaking Spanish and side of meat. Spanish is the language of the Mexican Americans heritage, but because many of the Mexican Americans are like a shot 3rd and 4th generations they have learned to speak the English language. until now many of the Mexican Americans take much pluck in the heritage and have learned the Spanish language as well as the English language. Mexican Americans are not seen much in the political lime-lights. However on that point are programs such as the Mexican American governmental Association that are aimed in helping Mexican Americans pretend their mark on the political grounds (Mexican American semipolitical Association, 2007). More Mexican Americans are now voting and let their voices be heard.

Mexican Americans have become more socially adapted as the Mexican American population grows. However with the discrimination against bilingualism in education has affected the way the Mexican Americans are socializing. Programs such as the National Association of bilingual Education see the need for students to practice and embrace their heritage if it will further their education (National Association of Bilingual Education, 2009). This too has an impact on how the Mexican American student completes their education. Many Mexican Americans do not attend a college later on finishing High School.
